Description/ About the Institution The Keck School of Medicine is a center of medical and bioscience education, medical research, patient care and community service. It is affiliated to the University of Southern California and is based in Los Angeles, California. Established in 1885, it is the oldest medical school in Southern California. The Keck School of Medicine is on the forefront of medical education and has graduated more than 5,000 physicians. It provides the students real-world experience in patient care since the beginning of their medical school. More than one million patients are served annually by the physicians of Keck School. It is a major research center and has about 25 research-oriented basic and clinical academic programs.
