Columbia University is one of the top academics in the United States, founded in the year 1754 and is located in Manhattan, New York. For more than 250 years, the University has been a leader in higher education in the US and around the world. It is the oldest institution of higher learning in New York and the 5th oldest in United States. The university comprises of 20 schools and has affiliations with numerous institutions. It has around 3,634 academic staff and a total number of 27,606 students. Of this, 7934 are pursuing under-graduate degrees and 19,672 are pursuing post-graduate degrees. Presently, the university operates 4 global centers overseas in Jordan, China, France and India. The alumini of Columbia University have won 40 Nobel Prizes.
