Founded in 1855, ETH Zurich is one of the leading international university for tehnology and the natural sciences. It is an institution of the Swiss Confederation and is also known as Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. It is based in Zurich, Switzerland and is consistently ranked among the top universities in the world. ETH Zurich is a global leader in conducting research in the areas of engineering, architecture, mathematics, natural sciences, system-oriented scienes, and management and social sciences. It enrolls more than 16,000 students from approximately 80 countries and has about 413 professors and 9,809 staff members. The university also has 21 Nobel Prize winners associated with it.
