Description/ About the Institution The Johns Hopkins University (also known as JHU or Johns Hopkins) is a private research university established in 1876 and is located in Baltimore, Maryland, US. It is known for its excellence in science, medical and engineering research & development. The university has 5 major campuses- three in Baltimore, one in Washington, D.C. and one in Maryland. It also maintains campuses in China and Italy. The university enrolls nearly 20,000 full-time and part-time students, including all its campuses.
