The University of California, Los Angeles (also known as UCLA) is a public research university established in the year 1919. It is recognized as a flagship institution and offers more than 300 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines. The university consists of five undergraduate colleges, seven professional schools and five professional Health Science schools. It enrolls around 39,593 students, of them 26,162 are pursuing undergraduate degrees and 13,431 are pursuing graduate degrees. The university has 14 Noble Laureates, including faculty, researchers and alumini. It has produced many notable alumini worldwide. Among the well-known people who have attended UCLA are Nobel Laureate in Chemistry- Richard Heck, co-founder of the Broadcom Corporation and owner of the Anaheim Ducks- Henry Samueli and American composer- John Williams.
